I’ve just finished two new pieces inspired by our recent trip to the Pacific Northwest. This spring’s journey led us through vibrant tulip fields, misty ancient forests, and finally to the serene beauty of the Portland Japanese Garden.
I’ve always been drawn to koi ponds, their quiet elegance, the way the fish glide like moving brushstrokes through water. This new piece is an homage to that peaceful afternoon in the garden. There’s something about the interplay of color, movement, and reflection that continues to captivate me. There’s more to come: azaleas are on the way, along with a few forest-inspired scenes.
