Finding Fall

In October 2024, Ray and I ventured to the Pacific Northwest to immerse ourselves in the vibrant palette of fall. He had asked for Fall Colors for his birthday and boy did I deliver! Our journey took us to the Japanese Garden and Arboretum in Seattle and deep into the rich, evergreen woods of Mount Rainier National Park. The beauty we experienced inspired a new body of work, where I explore color, shape, and the fleeting moments of seasonal transition. I created a series that captured the intense yet transient essence of autumn, with hues and forms that feel both expansive and intimate. These pieces, much like the landscapes that inspired them, celebrate the beauty of change, encouraging a sense of stillness and wonder amidst life’s ever-shifting colors.
